EGYPT. Alexandria. Severus Alexander, 222-235. Tetradrachm (Billon, 23 mm, 12.91 g, 12 h), RY 5 = 225/6. A KAI MA AYΡ CЄΥ ΑΛЄΞΑΝΔΡΟC ЄΥ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander to right, seen from behind. Rev. L Є Zeus seated left on throne, holding patera in his right hand and scepter in his left; at his feet to left, eagle with closed wings standing left, head to right. Dattari (Savio) 4390. Emmett 3146.5. K&G 62.66. RPC VI online 10308. Rare for this regnal year. Hairline flan crack on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
